One Fund Giving

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Financial gifts support Concordia’s ministries and help others experience Jesus’ love. At Concordia, all gifts support our mission to love God, love one another, and love our neighbors through our One Fund. Everyone is encouraged to give generously, save responsibly, and manage wisely. Please prayerfully consider your generosity, and give as God has blessed you as an expression of Love Alive. Here are ways to give:

Maximize Your Gift with Matching Funds

Many employers offer charitable contribution match programs up to 100% of your charitable contribution. If your employer offers this benefit, we would be happy to talk with you about a direct contribution to Concordia including any matching gift transfers through an educational institution.

Donate Securities

Gifts of stock, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church through our Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Foundation securities transfer process. In addition to providing a significant gift, donating long-term appreciated securities enables you to avoid potential capital gains taxes and receive a charitable income tax deduction.

Make an IRA Charitable Distribution

If you are 70 ½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to give to Concordia Lutheran Church and receive tax benefits in return. You can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA directly to Concordia Lutheran Church and pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year you turn 73 (70 ½ if you turn 70 ½ in 2019 or earlier), your IRA charitable gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.

*Please consult your tax adviser regarding all tax implications of your gift.
