Released to Nowhere: Homelessness, Reentry, and the Need for Healing

This presentation explores the critical intersection of healthcare, reentry, and homelessness in St. Louis by highlighting the challenges individuals face when transitioning from hospitals or jails without basic resources. Drawing on personal volunteer experiences and the local "Three Steps Home" program, it emphasizes how community and faith-based support can create vital pathways toward stability, healing, and hope. Following a presentation by Debra Wiens, Matt Miller will moderate a panel discussion featuring Rev. Chris Shearman, Stephanie Wormleighton, and Warren Hayden.

Enjoy the season's last Music on the Terrace event with a live music performance by Concordia member Andrew Binder and his jazz group, which will play some original pieces, classic standards, and jazz arrangements of familiar hymns and pop tunes.

Join us for a captivating day of history and fellowship as we explore the Missouri Civil War Museum at Jefferson Barracks. Following a tour of the museum, the group will enjoy lunch together at Cafe Telegraph Smoke Shack.

All high schoolers are invited to an evening of friendly competition and great food at Escape from STL followed by Raising Cane’s.

The WALi conference will host The Songwriter Initiative (TSI) Sing-Along Concert at Concordia. It is free to attend, and everyone is invited to come and sing along. TSI's concert will feature original worship music from Lutheran songwriters and an amazing band.

Kick off the first weekend of the NFL season with us! Concordia is hosting a community-wide tailgate, and everyone is invited. Whether you're a die-hard football fan or just looking to enjoy great company, this event is all about fellowship, fun, and a little fundraising.

This fall, high school students through adults are invited to join the Concordia Singers choir! Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary balcony.

As a welcome to Confirmation, 6th grade students will be invited to come forward during all worship services to receive a Bible and a blessing.

Walking Humbly and Confidently with Not-Yet Christians

While hope is a universal trait that can bridge the gap between Christians and the "spiritual but not religious," two conflicting assumptions—that Christian hope is either entirely unique or completely identical to others'—can hinder meaningful connection. By moving past these assumptions, Christians can shed false certainty and learn to walk both humbly and confidently alongside others. Join Rev. Dr. Mike Zeigler, Rev. Matt Peeples, Pastor Dave McGinley, and Rev. Geordie Denholm for a panel discussion on this topic.

This big day is for all students in 6th through 12th grade. To kick off the new school year, students will enjoy games and learn more about Confirmation and youth group. Don’t miss it!

All high school students (both incoming and recent grads) are invited to meet up at Aloha Mini Golf for a fun evening of putt-putt golf.

The Summit Seekers Bible Study invites everyone to attend a presentation by Rev. Dr. Linus Otronyi in the Community Room. Rev. Linus is Lutheran Bible Translator’s Regional Director in West Africa.
