Walking Humbly and Confidently with Not-Yet Christians
While hope is a universal trait that can bridge the gap between Christians and the "spiritual but not religious," two conflicting assumptions—that Christian hope is either entirely unique or completely identical to others'—can hinder meaningful connection. By moving past these assumptions, Christians can shed false certainty and learn to walk both humbly and confidently alongside others. Join Rev. Dr. Mike Zeigler, Rev. Matt Peeples, Pastor Dave McGinley, and Rev. Geordie Denholm for a panel discussion on this topic.
Global Week of Prayer
Concordia is joining hundreds of prayer rooms around the globe for the 24/7 Global Week of Prayer. Throughout the week, we have 192 one-hour slots available for individuals and families to take time to "be still" and proclaim the precious name of Jesus.
Incoming Confirmands Bible Blessing
As a welcome to Confirmation, 6th grade students will be invited to come forward during all worship services to receive a Bible and a blessing.
Concordia Singers Resumes
This fall, high school students through adults are invited to join the Concordia Singers choir! Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary balcony.

WALi Sing-Along Concert
The WALi conference will host The Songwriter Initiative (TSI) Sing-Along Concert at Concordia. It is free to attend, and everyone is invited to come and sing along. TSI's concert will feature original worship music from Lutheran songwriters and an amazing band.

Released to Nowhere: Homelessness, Reentry, and the Need for Healing
This presentation explores the critical intersection of homelessness, healthcare, and reentry in St. Louis by highlighting the challenges individuals face when transitioning from hospitals or jails without basic resources. Drawing on personal volunteer experiences and the local "Three Steps Home" program, it emphasizes how community and faith-based support can create vital pathways toward stability, healing, and hope. Following a presentation by Debra Wiens, Matt Miller will moderate a panel discussion featuring Rev. Chris Shearman, Stephanie Wormleighton, and Warren Hayden.

The Poetic Word as a Healing Force for a Turbulent World
This presentation explores how engaging with poetry and scripture can deepen personal reflection, foster community, and enrich spiritual practice. By demystifying the medium, Rev. Dr. Tim Saleska, Rev. Dr. Travis Scholl, and Dr. Abram Van Engen, Chairman, English Department of Washington University, St. Louis, demonstrate how poetry serves as an "art of attention" that attunes our hearts to the world and connects us more deeply to the Creator.

A Christian Approach to Environmental Stewardship and Climate Change
While Christians hold diverse views on climate change, there is a strong scriptural foundation in Genesis and Christian tradition for environmental stewardship. This presentation by Professor Dr. Douglas Wiens, Chairman, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Washington University, St. Louis and Rev. Dr. Charles Arand examines the scientific evidence of human-induced climate change and explores how the Christian community can faithfully respond in alignment with Christ's teachings.

Speaker Series: Learning to Disagree
Dr. Jonathan Butterfield and Pastor Christopher Sommer will interview Dr. John Inazu about his most recent book "Learning to Disagree," which seeks to "help us engage honestly and empathetically with people whose viewpoints we find strange, wrong, or even dangerous."
6th Grade Seder Dinner
6th Graders and their guests are invited to learn more about Jesus’ last supper by attending a traditional Christian Seder dinner prior to the Maundy Thursday worship service.
