Call Committee Prayer: Week 6

This week, join us in prayer for all LCMS ministries calling pastors and church workers. Also, this week is the LCMS's church worker appreciation week so we thank the Lord for all those called to serve. Please join in the prayer below.

Call Committee Prayer

Gracious and merciful Lord,

We know you direct all things for the good of the people who love you. We thank you for the blessings you provide us through the faithful men and women who serve as LCMS church workers. Strengthen them in their calling, renew their joy in the Gospel, and sustain them by Your grace.

We thank You especially for the staff who serve at Concordia and Christ Community. Bless their daily work, their leadership, and their witness, that all they do may reflect Your love and truth. We thank you for the community you have built and nurtured here.

We pray for all congregations who are in the process of calling pastors and church workers. Guide both the congregations and those being called. Provide for every need, but even more, grant them hearts that seek and recognize Your will.

Lord, we ask for Your guidance as we enter this time of calling a new pastor. Lead us with wisdom, patience, and trust in You. Prepare the heart of the man You are calling, and prepare us to receive him with unity and hope. Let Your will be done above all else, and grant us clarity as we seek Your direction.

All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who calls and equips His people for every good work.
