Welcome New Members

This past weekend, Concordia welcomed five new members to the congregation. Get to know these new faces, and extend a warm welcome when you see them.

Brett Bishop

Brett became interested in joining Concordia because his girlfriend, Sasha, and her daughter, Ellie, are members. Ellie attends CCLS. Brett lives in Troy, Il and works as an Account Manager for CMC Energy Services. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outside as much as possible.

Leo Davis

Leo wanted to connect with the Concordia family and join his wife and her children. He and Candace-Rae have been married for over five years. Leo is a Battalian Chief at the Richmond Heights fire station. Their combined family consists of three sons and two daughters.

Margaret Dill

Margaret grew up on east side of Cleveland, Ohio surrounded by machinery and shops. She graduated from OSU and Cleveland State University with two BS degrees (engineering and natural resources). Between college and Lockheed, she worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica. Margaret has worked in the space program for Lockheed Martin and more aerospace with GE. She currently works for Boeing in St. Louis.

Tom and Karen Stanmore

Tom and Karen married and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1990, where Tom was stationed as a Marine Corp flight instructor at the Naval Air Station. Within a week of moving to Florida, they started attending the local Methodist church and were very active with various ministries for 35+ years. After retiring from active duty, Tom continued to teach naval aviators as a flight simulator and classroom instructor. Karen served as Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor at Perdido Bay UMC and later assumed the position of Director of Senior Adult Ministries. After retiring, they became active bird watchers with Karen serving on the Board at the local Audubon Society Chapter. The decision to move to St. Louis was made soon after Karen’s father became ill and needed care. Tom and Karen’s children live in Seattle and Japan, and they are proud grandparents to four loving grandchildren. After moving to St. Louis last summer, they visited many local churches but found Concordia Kirkwood to be the one church where they truly feel “at home.” Tom and Karen will be confirmed at Concordia on April 19.
