Dear Friends in Christ,
As we approach the end of the calendar and Concordia's fiscal year, I want to update the congregation on our year-to-date giving on behalf of our Church Council, Finance Committee, and staff.
As of September 30, congregational giving is $1,753,945 for the year. We had anticipated $1,889,230 by this point, which puts us $135,285 behind or about 7% below our projection.
In the weeks ahead, we will keep you updated on our annual giving as we strive to close that gap before the year end. We will also provide you with more information about ways to give, new 2026 tax savings opportunities, and how your giving impacts our ministry and others in big and small ways. Our goal is to provide information early so that you have a sense of our finances and can plan ahead.
As we share this information, we invite you to prayerfully consider your giving in the months ahead. Whatever your circumstances, you are valued, and your presence, prayers, and service are immeasurable gifts. Our congregation's long-standing generosity has faithfully supported our mission to love God, love one another, and love our neighbors, and we are deeply grateful. We trust that God will continue to provide for the mission He has entrusted to us.
